Ted Dhanik is the proud father of six pets. His cats are Pita, a four year old shaded-silver Persian, Hefner, a twelve year old creme-point Himalayan, and new addition, Miyagi, a chinchilla-silver Persian kitten. His dogs are Otoro, a micro-teacup Maltese, who is two, Willow, an eleven year old Maltese, and Ebi, a three year old Morkie.
As Cheif Executive Officer and co-founder of engage:BDR, Ted Dhanik oversees Client Relationship Management, Business Development, Sales, Strategic Marketing, and Content Acquisition. Ted’s dogs are beloved fixtures at the engage:BDR offices.
Before his current post, Ted worked for five years at Myspace.com, where he collaborated with founders Chris Dewolfe and Tom Anderson to grow the brand from its early days through strategic campaigns both on and offline. Ted was also a key member of the team at LowerMyBills.com, where he helped grow the brand from infancy to acquisition, and at NexTag Corporation, where he helped launch the consumer lending program. Additionally, he has held roles in managerial, sales, and business development positions at companies including Beyond.com/Cybersource Corporation, Merrill Corporation, Xoriant Corporation, Atesto Technologies, Inc., and Brigade Solutions.
Ted attended California State University at Hayward and received his degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He is an advisor or board member at startups Schizo Pictures, LottoGopher, and Fighter, as well as an acting mentor at Start Engine, a Los Angeles startup accelerator.
